I have had experience caring for three seniors over the past several years. My father-in-law was very ill for about a year and passed away in 1999. I provided some care for him in his last few months. My mother-in-law had Alzheimer's and while she did not live in with us I was her medical advocate, scheduled all of her doctor and testing appointments and went with her. Because of me her medications were kept to a minimum and her body was healthy up until a few months before her passing. My mother was ill for only a short time before she passed but I was one of her main caregivers and saw to all of her needs.
