While working as a patient helper I enjoyed listening and learning from the people I worked with. During that time I was certified with my health care providers CPR. I prided myself in listening to the needs of each person I was helping, from moving them without pain to just listening to what was on their mind.
I was fortunate to be able spend time helping my grandparents during the last years of their lives.
As a professional ski and snowboard teacher I have spent time in clinics and classes learning age specific teaching techniques. Having to change my life and activities due to injuries myself I can understand better than most the frustrations that come with the senior years. I strive to find things a person can still do with my help. There is no better reward than the look in someone's eyes from achieving something they really wanted do again or for the first time.
