I am a college student in Human Services and I am off school for the summer. If it works out I would like to continue working while returning to school. My interest is working with the elderly and I have had experience. I worked as a Home Health Care Provider and I was responsible for clients in their homes. Some duties included reminding clients and assisting with medications. I have worked in three nursing homes in St. Paul and I have the skills to bathe, feed, assist with ambulating and exercising. I enjoy planning and implementing activities such as reading and crafts and assisting with prep, cooking, and cleaning. I have assisted my own father, a retired physician with Alzheimer's. I am familiar with dementia and I have had many clients in the St. Paul area that required different levels of care enabling them to remain in their homes. I have current CPR and First Aid training. I do laundry, run errands, take care of pets, wash dishes, read to and play games. I am a loving and trusting companion. I was with my mother during her last days before she passed. Every senior citizen deserves dignity and respect. I am honest and patient. I can maintain a safe home environment.
