As a Hospice House volunteer, I was assigned an 89-year-old lady. I took her shopping every week and became her friend. I was there for her until the end, visiting every day, communicating with her family, feeding her, and encouraging her. I helped another lady who needed someone at night. I gave her a bell, and she rang the bell when she needed to go to the bathroom. Then I would help her so she didn't fall. She had so much wisdom and love. I really enjoyed being with her. As a Council on Aging volunteer, I delivered Meals on Wheels and was Friendly Visitor to two ladies. I am looking for a paid position where I can make a difference in someone's life. I prefer to be busy, so I could do a multitude of tasks for your loved one, such as shopping, paying bills, light housekeeping, trips to the doctor, etc. I can work full time or part time. An occasional weekend is OK, but I prefer Monday-Friday.
