As a Home Health care CNA I am a companion for the elderly/disabled, which I find to be remarkably rewarding. I am a loving, compassionate, thoughtful, considerate and dependable person providing loving care for the patient while they remain in the atmosphere of their own home living comfortably until the end of their life.
I worked as a CNA for this patient for nearly one and a half years. The patient was 98 years of age. The patient had a stroke which caused her to be unable to speak, leaving her paralyzed on the left side of her body. This left the patient bed bound and confined to a wheelchair. I performed all activities of daily living for my patient. These activities consisted of bathing, dressing and feeding my patient along with a daily stroll outdoors as long as the weather permitted.
I worked as a Home Health Companion for this male patient who was partially paralyzed. This patient suffered a urinary tract infection which required hospitalization. After his return home he required a permanent catheter and urine bag. He also had frequent enemas administered by me and care for a pressure sore. I am a loving, compassionate, thoughtful, considerate and dependable person.
