I have been caring for elderly for about 5 years. I have been with clients until their passing as well as worked with clients with wide range of memory impairments, dementia and Alzheimer. I have also worked in end of life care. I had never done work like this before nor had any thought to do so. When I started caring for my first client, it was so natural and I quickly realized that this is what I was meant to do. We have so many elderly around us that just need a nudge or the right words to continue to be as independent as their health allows. I enjoy the time, the new experience, the person that I get to know and especially the life stories that they have to tell.
