I have been working in this field as a Patient Care Assistance for 8 years. I am a certified PCA. I have a special interest at helping all those that are in need. The family I worked for cannot thank me enough for the dedicated help in caring for their mother. I was able to provide a comfortable life with companionship in her own home where she was able to enjoy her last days with the quality of life that every parent should have. I provided personal care, cooking, cleaning her living area, driving patient, doctors, ordering medication, and administrating medication. I also did insulin and blood pressure. I had worked with patients that had dementia, Parkinson's disease, patients with diabetes, history of heart attack, strokes, and out patients in recovery from surgery, depression, etc. I was recognized as the best employee of the month. I have perfect attendance. I originally wanted to become a registered nurse, but unfortunately was not able to finish. I took many classes at college that were required to get into the career: The Human Body Development from Birth to Death, Psychology, First Aid, Lab, Medical Terminology, The Human Body, and more. These helped me deal with situations on everyday life. I would love to continue offering my unconditional service at who needs it at these difficult times.
