I tend to lack a lot of experience (so far) other than helping my 88-year-old grandma as much as possible, but I have always held a special place in my heart for the elderly. There is much we can learn from their life experiences so I love to have conversations with them. I also treat them like human beings. So many times I see people afraid to make a joke or ask a question because they think that the elderly person may not understand. However, I do understand and recognize that there are circumstances where it is not appropriate and shouldn't be done.

I am professional in all that I do outside of my social life. I take my education and interactions with people very seriously. I am in school right now to become an occupational therapy assistant but am planning on transferring to become an occupational therapist. The elderly will be a huge part of my career path and life. I strive to learn as much about their needs, cares and wants as possible.

I'm strong physically and emotionally. I'm neither afraid or eager to share personal experiences or things about myself. I feel that it is an important part of building a trusting relationship professionally and socially.
