I worked at a private country club the past five years. The members I saw daily were 60-92 years old. I was an Administrative Assistant for 23 years prior. I realized during this country club job, that I adore older people and being with them. I love listening to their stories (regardless of how many times I've heard them). I would love to be their companion and cook, clean, take them shopping, to the Doctors', park, haircuts, etc. Anything to keep them mobile. I helped take care of my grandma who lived with Alzheimer's for 7 years. My dad is currently fighting Mesothelioma, so being there just to listen helps.
