I have 10 wonderful years of experience as Activity Director of both an Assisted Living facility and Retirement Community. My experience lies in senior activities and personal care. I work closely with seniors leading exercise classes, cooking classes, book club, seasonal celebrations, dining out, playing board and card games, sing-a-longs, dancing, art classes, the list goes on. What interests you is what I strive to provide.
I provide transportation for seniors to doctor and dental appointments, local library, bank, grocery stores, pharmacy, hair salon, take out food, etc. I also run errands for seniors who are home bound.
I work closely with seniors providing assistance with walkers, wheel chairs, providing support in standing, sitting and walking, brushing hair and teeth, dressing, assist with eating etc.
I communicate very well with seniors and their families.
The commitment, respect, and bond I have with seniors brings me joy. Giving seniors the encouragement, feeling of self worth and independence is my goal.
I possess dedication, dependability, trustworthiness, and good character. I strive to exhibit a positive attitude and never miss an opportunity to share a smile...a sense of humor makes life more interesting!
