I have worked with seniors for seven years. They have taught me a lot about how times have changed throughout the years and I have learned how to be a true companion for them in their time of need. Some of my seniors that I cared for have struggled with dementia, others with hip replacements, and in some rare cases are just healthy, but just unable to function alone. Some of my duties included feeding, preparing meals, bed baths, chair baths, pivoting from bed to chair, etc. I am also very familiar and comfortable using a hoyer lift or the sliding board method. I also did some light housekeeping as well as attending doctor visits if needed.
