I am a native Austinite. I am in my 40's, living in Austin. After some soul searching, I realize it's time for me to take a slightly different direction in my career. This means making some significant changes, changes which I am presently embracing regarding my situation with work.

I am a nurse by trade. It feels as if I have done it all within this system. In my 18 years as a nurse, I have worked for private physicians, for the city, for large companies, hospitals and even hospice. After stepping back to re-evaluate myself as a human being and a nurse, I have decided it's time to return to what I enjoyed the most. In 2000, while living in Seattle, I assisted a relatively young gentleman whose wife simply could no longer care for him. His disease process necessitated full-time nursing care. Because I am a sensitive, patient individual, he was comforted by my presence and we worked harmoniously for the two years he needed my care.

I recognize on many levels, any situation calling for full-time Nursing care can and will present many challenges. However, I feel certain while working together for a common goal, if we work together, a much more effective and satisfying result can be achieved.
