I have always enjoyed interacting with seniors. They have taught me so much just by sharing their life experiences. I believe we should treasure our elders as many other cultures do, and provide them with loving care and respect, while preserving their dignity. I helped to care for my own grandmother who was afflicted with Alzheimer's, both my parents as they fought, and later lost their battles with cancer. I was caregiver for my disabled spouse for 25 years, as well as raising four children of my own, and a few that were not. I am not a nurse, however I have competently managed, administering medication, hygiene, catheters, incontinence, housekeeping, linens, nutrition, laundry, dressing changes, transportation, companionship, etc., that does not require skilled nursing. I believe in taking care of others the way I would want to be cared for. I am organized, love people and strive always to do the best I can, at whatever job I tackle.
