I have graduated a medical assisting course in which all patients were elderly with disabilities. The course I completed included office work, and seeing patients. My tasks included filing out patient charts, taking down medical history from patients, taking patient vitals, giving injections, taking blood, and other minor medical procedures. I have previously worked as a caregiver at an residential elderly home in which the patients also had disabilities. Each home I worked in had 6 patients each. My job included housekeeping, meal preparation, handing out medications, documenting medications given out, bathing and general care. Being a caregiver and providing every person I work with the love and care they deserve is truly a passion of mine. I aim to make the people I work with comfortable around me and have them know they can trust me. I am professional and follow all guidelines and rules I am given for the people I care for. I also give my patients friendship and companionship. I love helping people and is something I plan to further my career in.
