Duties and responsibilities:

-administer prescribed medications in accordance with North Carolina standards
-deliver personal care to patient and address needs such as bathing, dressing, serve meals and feed patient, check and monitor blood pressure, temperature, oxygen, heart rate and recorded vitals
-make bed and tidy patients room
-maintain adequate food for patient for medication consumption
-assist with hospice
-react effectively in emergency situations that immediately put patient at ease
-provide transportation to doctor's visits, grocery store and running errands
-schedule doctor's appointments and ensured patient adhered to doctor's recommendations, etc.
The last person that I was a senior caregiver for was my mother. Also, I got most of my experience taking care of her. I have been a senior caregiver since the late 1970's.
