For the past two years, I worked in a retirement community where I was given the opportunity to be around our older population on a daily basis. In that time, I've come to better understand the unique situations and circumstances experienced by older adults. Although I worked primarily with dietary needs, I also did some transportation and housekeeping as well. I enjoyed being able to visit with the residents and participate in activities with them. My time there taught me so much and made me realize that I would like to continue working with older adults
