Was a caregiver since 1980, attended University Of Medicine & Dentistry Allied Health for Respiratory Therapist, went into Army Medical Corps as a nurse for 17 years, worked at Grady Trauma Center after retirement from military, have done odds and end jobs since then, mostly by word of mouth of someone that needed a pinch hitter to care for the elderly or disabled individual family member or friend.
In my ministry (self appointed) I have taken on compassion for those elderly neighbors that had no living family members to assist them in basic needs, errands etc., that were available to them, so I just helped them in any way I could, whether it was checking their medicines, transporting them to the hospital or doctors appointments. I love my grandparents so, (deceased). I have no straightforward explanation for enjoying taking care of those who are displaced, unfortunate or just lonely and need help. I enjoy their company and knowing that I have brightened someone's day or impacted their lives in a positive and caring way, some just needed someone to talk to.
