I am a Home Health Aide certified/licensed with 7 yrs experience, seeking a position caring for the elderly. Below is a summary of my experience: Experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia. Performing duties for patients, such as light housekeeping tasks, changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens etc. And also washing and ironing laundry if needed. Preparing meals followed by clean up, assisting in and out of bed, wheelchairs or automobiles. Providing stabilization and assistance with walking. Bathing, dressing, and grooming; Medication reminders under family orders or direction of a nurse or doctor. Also, Activities, Engaging in physical and mental exercises. Accompany clients to doctors' offices and other trips outside the home, providing transportation, assistance and companionship. Entertain, converse with, and read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert. Provide patients and families with emotional support and instruction in areas such as preparing healthy meals, independent living, and adaptation to disability or illness. Record daily care notes and report any significant changes. But most important just being a friendly companion to make everyday life comfortable and fun.
