I have been around seniors my whole life. My mother has worked in a nursing home since I can remember. We would always visit. I worked in a care home for 4 1/2 years as a diet aide and a housekeeper. I still visit the care center and their residents. A year ago I was taking care of a co-worker's father in-law who is 94. I took care of him for a year. I cooked, cleaned, bathed, and dressed him. Once he had a stroke and was in the hospital and I was able to help. Also the nurses were surprised that I was only with him for 6 months. They thought I was with him longer because he responded so well with me.
