Private Care-giving

Live-out Assistance for Alzheimer's patient in his home forged strong bond with family during a very difficult time by providing compassionate care for family member until he could no longer remain at home.

Duties included: meal preparation, feeding, standby assisting with ambulation to prevent falls, helping him to bed (for naps) and with comfort, suggesting activities.

Live-out for elderly lady with congestive heart failure (full-time)

Developed special relationship with family by caring for "mom" until end of life.

Duties: stand-by assisting with ambulation, assisting with transfers, meals and making sure that mom was comfortable and warm.

Live-in caregiver for three children with cerebral palsy.

Served meals, provided personal care, housework

Live-in attendant for a man with spinal cord injury (paralysis of four extremities)

Gave bed baths, performed bowel program, catheter care, performed range-of-motion exercises, transferred to and from bed, wheelchair using Hoyer lift.

Live-in attendant for a woman with spinal cord injury. Duties described above, plus driving.
