As a private home health aide, I have encountered many different environments, exposing me to illnesses that are common and some that are incredibly rare. I originally worked for a local home health company but had many requests to go private and work with families who are on a tight budget or whose needs exceeded those the company was willing to provide. Health care is expensive; the average cost for a room in a nursing home is roughly $5, 000 a month! That's why most people choose home health aide companies which can also be costly; charging anywhere from $18 to $19 an hour and even more on the holidays. I promise to work with you and your family to provide the best care for your loved one, I'm strictly one flat rate and I will NEVER raise my price or charge you more just because it's a holiday. Although I do not have my state certificate (yet) I did pass the Ohio STNA course but I don't just provide health care, I also do my client's landscaping and home repairs as well. If there is something I am unable to do, I'll do my best to get you the help you need. I understand that most people are a little nervous or scared to let a complete stranger into their home, it's only natural. However, if you are interested in my services I can provide you with reliable references and a letter of recommendation as well as a copy of my STNA certificate upon request. However, due to my size, I do have some minor limitations and have difficulty lifting anyone (especially dead weight) who weighs over 100 lbs.
