Created a system for his medications, so that everybody in the household would have transparency and no room for errors.
Checked blood pressure, temperature, respiration, oxygen saturation, and listened to lungs every 12 hours.
Input and output of fluids, bowel movements.
Did incentive spirometer every day
Created medical chart for detail charting.
Checked the patient, head to toe, every 12 hours.
Made medical and dermatology appointments.
Made sure the house was always clean, sometimes cleaning it myself.
Made the house much safer by installing a lift to the upstairs and a ramp on the outside.
Made sure this patient was always comfortable.
Made a check list for activities of daily living.
Showered and shaved him, daily.
Purchased new suits, dress shirts, comfortable custom shoes, and fancy ties, so he could dress very well when he went out to social gatherings, events, parties, and award ceremonies.
