My responsibilities as a caregiver are to provide a safe, secure environment for the elderly and disabled. I assist my clients with care in their homes by performing tasks they can no longer perform for themselves. The tasks include but are not limited to meal preparation, cleaning, health care, hygiene care, transportation to doctor appointments & daily errands, etc. I also strive to preserve and nurture the dignity of our residents, celebrating their individuality, enabling freedom of choice, encouraging independence, and involving family and friends. This includes various activities such as daily physical fitness, creative, social, learning and spiritual activities, along with scheduled group trips and resident-sponsored clubs for a variety of interests (depending on availability).
