I am passionate about what I do because it helps me to serve mankind as well as being and enjoyment for me. I have cared for Alzheimer's patients in their home. I prepared and served meals to the patient, cleaned their room or home. Did the laundry and ironing, helped the patient with bath/shower, grooming, in and out of wheelchair, bathroom and automobile. Administered prescribed oral medication with written permission from Dr., daily exercise. Monitored and kept record of patient frequent or non-frequent use of bathroom and notified guardian/supervisor of any change in patient mobility, sleep pattern and eating habit. Entertained patient by reading aloud playing music and playing games. Performed miscellaneous chores as requested by guardian, such as taking patient to hair and Dr. appointments, also out to eat and other outing. I provided companionship.
