My father had a stroke when I was in my early twenties and I resigned my Resident Assistant position at Fairfield University to take him out of the rehabilitation facility he was in at the time. I cared for him for about two years before he, unfortunately, passed away. My father's health issues and early passing had a profound effect on me. I became inspired to learn about healthy living so that I could share that information with people to improve the quality of their lives. I am very patient and understanding as a caregiver because I have experience with my own family understand how trying it can be for all involved.
