I began work as a nanny/care giver when I was 13, I cared for a 2 year old child along with a 82 year old woman. My duties were to take care for both along with cleaning and preparing meals for the family. I worked for them for 2 years. I also had many side babysitting jobs caring for children ages newborn to 8 years old. When I turned 17 I moved to California to attend holistic culinary school, there I was a live in care giver for a 92 year old man with severe mascular degeneration. My duties were to clean, do laundry, prepare all meals, grocery shop and take him to all appointments, or wherever he needed. The house was also a room rental vacation house, so I was also a housekeeper for the room renters. I worked for his family for 8 months. Now I am working in the medical field as a Medical Assistant (currently unemployed). I worked at a family practice office, and majority of patients were geriatrics. I have 1 year experience working with seniors in a medical setting.
