My first experience caring for seniors was when my father developed Parkinson's disease. Years later I took care of my 80-year-old mother 24 hours a day for six months because she couldn't walk. Currently, I provide companionship and assistance to an 80-year-old man who is a recent amputee. I also provide transportation for his 78-year-old wife. From March 2010 to May 2011, I worked at the an Adult Day Services Center. There were approximately 28 seniors who came there daily. The majority of the seniors had Alzheimer's disease. But there were some seniors who had other disabilities. My duties included, but were not limited to, serving meals, hand-feeding, providing companionship, singing to and playing games with the seniors. I would be happy to do the same for your loved-one.
