Left the corporate world in 2002 to care give to both my parents & a special needs brother (Down Syndrome). Both parents have had bouts with cancer and I am experienced with the many different treatments and their effects on the patients. I worked a weekend only job (relieving the FT caregiver) caring for a 90 year-old gentleman who had a touch of dementia, wounds on his feet as a result of sugar diabetes and other ailments. I also did a 3 wk live-in for a 98 year-old who was bedridden and unconscious at times. I currently care for an almost blind 90 year-old woman. I successfully completed a medical assistant course at Berdan Institute and successfully completed the certified home health aide course at Family First.
