Hello my name is Corie. I have been working in the elderly care field for 3 1/2 years. I have been employed at 2 different adult family care homes and one private family residence. In my experience, I have worked with elders who were suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, water on the brain, as well as with individuals who are bed ridden and there for need total care. I have bathed, changed, transferred(moved), fed, provided companionship and care for the elderly residents. I love this career field and really enjoy the experiences I have been blessed with. I have a strong passion and will to help those who cannot help themselves. I would describe myself to be sweet natured and patient. I am always kind yet strong in mind. I follow the rules by the book and am well adept to handle any situation thrown at me. I believe the residents I care for to be friends/family. I enjoy getting to know them individually and becoming more than a care giver but a trusted friend and companion. I try to keep in touch with past employers and residents to follow up on status.
