I have cared for my father from 2001 to 2007 and my mother from 2001 to 2011. By caring for my parents I experienced a gift of a lifetime. My mother's care started as an assistant and moved towards total caregiver from 2001 to her death in 2011. I managed her expenses, household upkeep and chores, was her companion, and all aspects of her daily routine. My mom was not bed bound however I managed her medicine and the last couple of years she used a walker for everyday walking and a wheel chair for long trips. We did everything together as I was with her 24/7.

Because I took care of both my parents I learned a lot about all aspects of senior care wants and needs. I am a strong supporter of making sure seniors stay in their own homes as long as they desire its just that seniors may need a little assistance with household chores, transportation or just someone to talk to, to figure things out.
