I have lovingly cared for my Grandmother who is 88 years young as needed for many years. She is an inspiration... she is a can-do lady with a positive attitude and sense of adventure and fun.
Helping her throughout the years has opened my understanding that sometimes those who are elderly are treated with
disrespect. This should not be! Every person deserves respect and dignity.
I am appalled by ageism.
I will gladly with kindness be an advocate for those I serve.
I feel that senior citizens have great value and we have much to learn from them. They are treasures.
I am also aware that those who are older in their bodies are still young in their hearts.
I also have helped other senior friends as needed.
