Hi! I understand the stress you are going through right now as I have been in the same position with my own family! I am a married mother of 2 gorgeous, smart children, and "Nanny's favorite!". I never even knew I had an interest in taking care of elderly until it was something I had to do. I found that it is the most rewarding for my soul next to being a mother! It started when I was asked to take care of my Grandfather who had Alzheimer's/Dementia, Parkinson's and a heart condition. They had put him in a home and had a bad experience with that. He was always upset, scared, injured from falls, and dirty! We had a wonderful 2 years until he passed and from then on, I knew I wanted to do this! I strongly believe in building close relationships and treating them with the respect and care they deserve. Their smiles- making sure I put one there if at all possible. The stories they tell, and all the wisdom they share I keep with me forever. I have loved and cried with every single one of them I ever cared for, from birthday parties to their funerals. I have experience with almost every age onset condition. I am Certified CNA/PCT.
