As I have gotten older, I am realizing how important it is for the need of care as we age, that dignifies the quality of life we all wish to have. I believe it is very important to sustain the home environment where we feel comfortable and safe and to have support in a very nurturing atmosphere. I have spent more time with my parents as they have gotten older and thoroughly enjoy their company and have found that their needs sometime require assistance . I would love to help in any capacity whether it be cooking, reading to someone, reminders of medication, taking walks or just talking. I have worked at a College for 20 years and counseled students to 70 years to their choices of studies and enjoy the pursuit of life. Although, my primary employment has been in the child care field, I know my capacity for caring reaches all ages and is something I really love.
