I am an experienced hospice volunteer looking to provide part-time assistance to elderly and/or home-bound individuals in the Smyrna/Vinings/close-in Atlanta area. Recognizing that elderly individuals need care that is multifaceted, I will: read, write letters, talk, and provide light massage/stretching to ease joints and muscles. I hold the certified massage therapist certification for the state of California, where I recently relocated from to be near my grown daughter and her family.

My priority is the care of you or your loved one; however, if the time is right and needed, I will provide light housekeeping duties such as: washing dishes, laundry (including ironing), watering plants, vacuuming, and getting the mail.

If desired, I will drive you or your loved one to a variety of locations: doctor's office, grocery store, post office, the mall, restaurant, park, river, etc. If preferred, I can also run errands on my way to your home.

I know from my experience with hospice, massage, and end-of-life/grief counseling, that elderly individuals need compassionate care. Additionally, research shows that elderly individuals thrive and have a better quality of life when they have visitors for even a few hours each day or week. I also know that sometimes family members feel drained from caring for loved ones and need a well-deserved break; therefore, I also provide respite care.

I prefer to provide my services in part-time increments 2 - 6 hour segments. If you think I would be a good fit for you or your loved one, please contact me. I charge $15. - $20. per hour.
