I was an activity director in a Hinsdale retirement home. I was responsible for helping with their daily mental and social well being. I tried to help them enjoy their days and meet their daily needs. This included games, exercise, all outings, daily companionship, as well as taking to appointments, shopping, places such as a library, movies, church and meals out. I left this job to work for seniors with a private company, which then went out of business. Then I started working for families and staying with their children, almost doing the same things, but for the young.
I would like to work with a senior again if the right situation was found.
