I received my CNA in Indiana after graduating from Purdue in 2008. I worked for Visiting Angels providing home care for 6 months. I worked with two different families providing care. I then went to work for Providence House at Madison Center. This facility is a senior care facility for dementia residents. I worked with Providence House for over a year, before I relocated to Kansas due to my husband's military obligation. I worked day, evening, and overnight shifts as a CNA. I enjoyed providing for my resident's needs while getting to know them. Their generation has lived through such interesting times, and to hear their stories is a blessing. I also was privileged to work as an activity aide while employed with Providence house. This type of work is so rewarding for me.
