I enjoy seniors who value their independence, yet need some help with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing and medication reminders. I focus on individual wellness, and encourage continued independence. I truly enjoy helping those seniors facing the onset of dementia and like to assure busy family members, that I understand the break needed, and someone honest, caring, and trustworthy is here, that will provide and care for your family member with respect and dignity. Although I'm a current student of Social Work with an emphasis in Geriatrics, I have worked in the field for about five years at different assisted living facilities. Through prior training and education, I'm trained and ready to engage each senior in holistic care, focused on brain health. The holistic approach helps seniors stay focused, be less anxious and strive to slow the progression of further memory loss. I have the ability to guide and assist each senior in structured, stimulating activities resulting in increased independence and self-esteem, you will be surprise at the stability I can help provide, through the aging process.
