My career began as a girl caring for siblings, family & neighborhood children & as a "chore kid" on our block from 8 - 13 years old. I am from a big family (5 brothers - 2 older, 3 younger). Grandma lived with us while I was in elementary & jr. high school; I helped her with daily needs. We were taught to respect & honor our elders; all of us children readily embraced this value. We also had an Uncle w/special needs who was a big part of our family life. It was just natural to include him as another caring & cared-for grown-up. We always had pets to care for - we loved & cherished them all, treating them with gentleness, kindness & affection. My family, school & work experience (with people from infancy to senior citizens) have shaped me to be a very good listener & effective problem-solver.
