I have been working in the health care field for about 10 years now. I have experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and a hospital. I am a medical technician as well as an occupational therapist assistant. I truly believe that as a caregiver you are not only responsible for the physical but also mental and spiritual well-being of the person you are caring for. I truly love doing what I do and find every experience in which I can bring a smile to someones face who might not have smiled that day rewarding. I have many years of experience in childcare also. I worked as a nanny for my niece for the first 2 years of her life. Nothing has brought me more joy in my life than when I was helping to teach my niece. I believe that with children no age is too young to start learning, whether it is a walk in the park while I explain about the trees or the color of the cars that go by, or sitting down and reading books. I know that it kind of sounds cheesy, but I do believe that children are our future and preparing them for the future is our responsibility as adults.
