I worked at an elderly center in Batavia for almost 4 years. I absolutely loved what I did! I was responsible for leading exercises, games, crafts, and discussions that were planned. I also helped with serving snacks and lunches and taking care of personal needs of the clients, if necessary, while they were attending the center. In addition, I took care of charting on any changes or issues on a weekly basis on specifically assigned clients. Most of the clients had dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and there were a few others. It was a pleasure working with the seniors and loved being able to help their families out!

My grandmother was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 50. She lived with my family and I for about 10 years, where we cared for her during this horrible time. I am very familiar with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
