I've always had a passion for working with seniors and have volunteered to be a senior "buddy" at my previous church and visited nursing homes for religious ceremonies. As a teen, I volunteered in Cincinnati, Ohio , my hometown, at an Alzheimer Center, and really enjoyed giving back.
I've lived in Baltimore as a permanent resident for a little over a year, and have not spent as much time working with seniors. Now with my schedule being a little more flexible, I'd like to provide companion care to seniors and provide help for families looking for someone to see about their semi-independent elderly loved ones.
I've been out of the corporate industry for six years, and see my next career being able to do what I really care about which is to help seniors retain their dignity and way of life in the sun-setting years of their life.
