I have a Bachelor's in Social Work that includes past experience working as a Social Worker/admissions rep in Skilled Nursing Facility, intake assistant for Home Care agency and also worked as a Discharge Planner in a Hospital. I am very familiar with needs of Seniors on all levels and concerns of family members wanting to provide quality care and maintain their family member at home. I am willing to provide assistance to seniors/families of seniors however please understand I would be unlikely able to provide physical hands on personal care such as lifting, bathing. I can call, come to check on them, stay in communication with designated family regarding reporting status of their family member, prepare meal, clean up after meals, grocery shop, visit and offer companionship, monitor medication intake/compliance, perhaps take them to medical appointments if they are independent in mobility and steady gait. Previously have also cared for children in my home and others homes, and worked as teachers aid in high school last nine years. Recently, I relocated to Virginia from Buffalo, NY this past year. I would need time off with advance notice to visit out of town family/vacation.
