I have worked in direct care since 1972. Some of this was in home health, hospice and nursing homes/assisted living facilities. I have also worked in ICU's, IMCU's, Recovery Rooms, and emergency rooms in 3 states. I have extensive experience with both Alzheimer's clients and terminally ill clients. I am an excellent cook, and often get requested by clients through local home health agencies for my cooking skills. I have worked frequently with Hospice patients, and I also frequently work with clients with special diet needs. I include light housekeeping in my duties when providing senior care. I am CPR and first aid certified and have a current TB test. I am certified by DHS/SPD as a caregiver, I have passed their extensive background check & have a state provider number. I do take state paid jobs within 15 miles of my home. I can provide local references on request. I do accept some night shifts. I also do transport only visits for people needing transportation only, rates below.

Rates:
*Weekday Senior care Rates: (Varies, depending on client needs): usually $10.00- $12.50/hour (2 hour minimum per visit).
*Weekend Senior Rates: $15.00/hour (2 hour minimum) on Sat or Sun.

I was a CNA from 1976 until 1990, but the employer I had in 1990 hired me as a telemetry tech not as a CNA so they did not offer CEU's to maintain it.
