I am a mother of two with my children all grown up (my son in now 22). I had spent several years as a CNA (Certified Nurse's Aide) and Home Health Care Aide. I have worked the last 5 years as a care giver in private home care. I am looking to take a position working with a person or family in a caretaker capacity. My experience has been in nursing homes as well as private residences. I am willing to help out with cleaning, cooking, laundry, driving to appointments, running errands and personal care of your loved one such as baths or dressing. I have worked with elderly who have been for the most part mobile but needed some help around the house and some good company to pass the time. I have also worked with elderly that needed round the clock care with feeding, dressing and med reminders right up until they passed on. I know it's a bit depressing to talk about those things but I think its very important that a family feel safe and comfortable with their caretaker, working with the elderly is a job that I loved doing and I feel that I could not convey that enough. It's not only helpful to ease the burden of day to day chores but I find that some of the best therapy is a smiling face and a friendly companion to look forward to each week.

My hours are very flexible and I am willing to work with any schedule even overnights if necessary. I am fluent in both Portuguese and English.

If you are interested, pay is negotiable based on services and hours required, however rates start at $20.00 per hour. This is very reasonable as professional services can cost up to $50.00 and that's not even for a RN! I understand that everyone wants the best care for their loved ones and I promise to do my best to provide top quality care for a reasonable price.
