Seniors seem to be ignored even by their own families due to their illness or irritating "quirks" they might have and this fact deeply saddens me and encourages me to try to help those with less medically and physically challenged than me. I myself am an active senior and have cared for and am currently caring for a senior woman, both suffering from Alzheimer's, one of whom requires more physical assistance and care than the other one. To me my employment is not a job but a service to two women who used to be productive mothers/grandmothers but unfortunately have lost that ability due to their physical condition through no fault of their own. I check sugar levels, blood pressure, help with laundry and cook meals and interact with them. Caring for people comes second nature to me and I truly believe that we all deserve excellent, loving care, which I am willing to provide.
