I am a certified nursing assistant and I have been certified since 2007. Before being certified I worked as a resident aide for 2 years and also as a home health aide for 3 years. As a resident assistant I worked with residents with alzheimer's and dementia. With them I assisted with everything from personal hyigene to food management to light cleaning. As a home health aide really I managed it all. I made sure the client medications were taken on time, prepared and if need be fed them food, assisted with walking i.e. walker, wheelchair, or sidebyside. I also did light housekeeping, maintain the main area that the client lived in and rotated client every 2 hours to prevent bedsores. I've done it all. Anything you can think of I've done it.
