My experience with caring for seniors started at the age of 12. My great grandmother became seriously ill with Diabetes and shortly after her diagnosis, both her legs were amputated. I would visit her every day after school for about 2 years to provide her with companionship, prepare lunches and other essential needs (vacuuming, dusting, errand running, laundry, etc.) I became extremely passionate and dedicated to helping people once I realize that I helped make her last years less stressful. For 3 years now, I've been living with my grandparents and doing so has taught me very valuable lessons. I believe putting a smile on one's face, lending a helping hand can do more then make one's day, it can change one's life.
