My mom lived with me for over 20 years before she passed away from cancer at age 82 in 2007. She would love to get out occasionally to shop, go to doctor appointments for blood work etc. With me working it was sometimes hard for me to be able to take her on afternoon outings. I am patient and understanding and love to spend hours at Walmart and the dollar store. I also understand the importance of keeping track of doctor information, etc. Every time my mom was in the hospital, she was never alone and I was always there asking questions and fighting for her rights.
