I've been doing this kind of work for about 10+ years. I love the elderly. It's very rewarding helping someone stay in their home and not having to go to a facility. I'm great with transfers, ADLs, dementia, Alzheimer's, or tough cases. They always end up happy. Some elderly don't want strangers in their home, but I'm very patient and compassionate. I've often been told I'm a great cook and have very clear English.
