In July of 2008 my mother unfortunately suffered a stroke, so without notice she demanded 24 hours of care. Without hesitation, I took charge along with my sister. We were by her side, fulfilling her every need, for 11 months until she passed away this June. Duties included: helping make frequent trips to the restroom (and cleaning up accidents on the way), giving medication on schedule, keeping her company, spoon feeding when necessary, etc.
